*DMchat apologizes for the delay in putting up the most recent art collection, but we want to assure you that there is a reason behind it which will be announced soon. It involves a collaboration and exciting news about the account. Again, sorry to have kept everyone in the dark for a bit about this.

Due to a desire for more entries and a concern that some people may not have had enough time to submit, the theme for the November collection has been extended into the entire month of December! We thought everyone may be a little too busy during the holidays to make a completely new theme for December, so if you still want to enter a piece, please do so. You will have till December 30th to submit your entries for DUALITY. Don't worry, we'll have a brand new and inspiring theme for January.

Art Collection I: GENESIS is now up for everyone to look at!

DUALITY

The theme for November was inspired by it being the second collection! We thought this theme would be very easily and widely interpreted, bringing in varied and interesting works. You may pick any of the definitions listed above, or use your own personal interpretation of the word. We can't wait to see them! Best of all, this month you'll have three weeks to make something. They all must be submitted by <s>November</s> December 30th!

Please be aware, the guidelines have been altered since the last collection to work more easily depending on the number of works submitted.

The Collections will be submitted on the first day of the month following the start date as a main deviation with selected works, and journal with all of the entries. If the entries are low in number, they all may be included in the main deviation.

Anyone can submit as long as they are listed as a Member in the chatroom and the deviation follows all of the guidelines listed here. To learn how to become a member, please refer to the FAQ. #DigitalMedia supports an air of equality and invites every artist, no matter their skill, to contribute their vision to our collection. Art is, after all, a learning process!

You may collaborate with another person, or as many persons as you'd like, as long as one of you is a member. You may submit as many pieces as you'd like, though only the one we believe to be your best work will be submitted to the final collection.

All entries must include some form of digital art. It may be a mix of traditional and digital, as long as the digital part is apparent. Photography will be accepted if it has been digitally altered beyond what is possible in a dark room.

All entries must adhere to the current theme, though the idea may be interpreted loosely. If you're concerned that your interpretation may not be obvious, feel free to explain your work in the description of the deviation or the note when you submit it.

All entries must be submitted via note to *DMchat no later than the last day of the current month at 12am EST. If you can, please title the note "Art Collections Submission" to make the organization process easier.

All entries must be made for the collection for the current month and therefore must be submitted after this journal was submitted.

The DM Operators and Founders will vote on the top deviations they personally enjoy or believe best expressed the theme each month. The one voted the best will be on the deviation preview, and the selected ones will be on the main deviation. All entries may be included on the deviation, though if the entries are large in number, some may not be on the deviation and instead listed in the description. Operators and Founders are invited to submit, and we promise to judge them as equally as we would the other entries. To mix things up, an artist may only be featured in the top few (depending on number) every other month. This will hopefully give everyone a chance to be featured.
